# Discord Rules & Policy

# Acore Hosting – Discord Policy

**Effective Date:** 14th August 2026

**Provider:** Acore Hosting

***

Welcome! By joining and participating in our Discord community, you agree to follow this policy. Staff reserves the right to take action as needed to keep the server safe and enjoyable for everyone.

***

## General Clause – Unlisted Rules

We reserve the right to punish you for a rule that is not explicitly listed in this policy if we have reasonable suspicion that your behaviour is harmful, disruptive, or otherwise contrary to the spirit of our community. This includes, but is not limited to, actions that circumvent the intent of these rules or exploit loopholes. Staff discretion applies in all cases.

***

## 1. No NSFW, Scams, or Malicious Content

* Do not post pornographic, obscene, or inappropriate content.
* Do not send scam messages, phishing links, or malicious files.
* Note: We do not actively prioritise deleting scam messages – please use common sense and avoid clicking suspicious links. If you see something, report it, but we are not responsible if you fall for a scam.

***

## 2. No Staff Ping Abuse

* Do not spam-ping or repeatedly mention staff members (@Helper, @Moderator, @Admin, etc.).
* Ping staff only for urgent or important issues. For general questions, use the appropriate channels.

***

## 3. No Advertising Other Hosts (Zero Tolerance)

* Absolutely no advertising, recommending, or promoting other hosting providers.
* This includes DMs, public chats, or voice channels.
* Violation = Permanent Ban. (Besides… why would you recommend anyone else when we're the best?)

***

## 4. Staff Have the Final Say

* Staff decisions are final. If a staff member tells you to stop or gives a direction, follow it.
* Do not keep arguing after a decision has been made. Repeated arguments will result in warnings or further punishment.

***

## 5. Follow the Staff Hierarchy

* If you see a staff member (e.g., @Helper) behaving inappropriately or abusing their power, do not confront them publicly.
* Instead, report the issue privately to a higher-ranking staff member (Moderator or Admin).
* Hierarchy: @Helper -> @Moderator -> @Admin -> @Owner

***

## 6. Be Patient – We Have Lives Too

* Staff are volunteers (or busy humans) with jobs, school, and families.
* We are not available 24/7. Please do not get angry or demanding if we don't respond instantly or fix your texture pack at 3 AM.
* Cut us some slack – we'll get to you as soon as we can.

***

## 7. Use the Correct Channels

* Keep conversations in the right places.
* For private support (billing, account issues, sensitive matters): open a ticket in #support-ticket or DM our support bot.
* For minor game-related issues (plugin help, server config, etc.): use the form in #game-support-form.
* Off-topic conversations belong in #general or #off-topic.

***

## 8. Premium Customers Take Priority

* Paid AcoreHosting customers (@Premium) receive higher support priority than AcoreZero (free) users.
* Do not get angry if a staff member helps a paying customer before you. Money runs the world – we prioritise those who fund our infrastructure.
* If you want priority support, consider upgrading to a paid plan.

***

## 9. No Begging for Partnerships

* Do not beg for partnerships, sponsorships, or free server upgrades.
* We reject 99% of partnership requests because we simply cannot provide expensive server upgrades for every random server.
* If we are interested, we will reach out to you – not the other way around.

***

## 10. No Begging for Free Upgrades

* Free server upgrades (CPU, RAM, slots, etc.) are earned, not given out on request.
* Do not ask staff for free resource increases unless you have genuinely earned it through community contributions, events, or loyalty programs.
* Repeated begging will result in warnings or mutes.

***

## 11. The Golden Rule – Think Before You Act

> "Just think – are you doing something bad?"

If you have to ask yourself whether something is against the rules, it probably is. Use common sense, treat others with respect, and you'll have a great time here.

***

## Enforcement

* Violations may result in: warnings, mutes, kicks, or bans depending on severity.
* Permanent bans are issued for serious offenses (e.g., advertising other hosts, severe harassment, illegal content).
* As stated in the General Clause, we may take action for unlisted behaviour if we have reasonable suspicion of misconduct.

***

Thanks for being part of the AcoreHosting community. Now go have fun and build something awesome.
